Forgive us where we failed you – NAHCON Begs FCT Pilgrims

    The Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Alhaji Jalal Ahmed Arabi has seek for forgiveness from the Pilgrims where they feel the commission has not meant up with their expectations during this year’s Hajj exercise.

    The Commission Chairman seek for their forgiveness when he led the Management team of the commission to monitor the Hajj exercise in the FCT Tent to ascertain the situation on ground in Mina, Saudi Arabia.

    The Chairman who commanded the commitment shown by the Pilgrims during the rituals exercise said that their humbleness and tolerance disposition has gone a long way to make the job a lot easier.

    According to him, “At lease those of us that are here, can’t thank Allah enough for having to have the straight to even been standing now after going through all we went through. But the smile i saw in your faces show that there’s indication that Allah has accepted our supplications”.

    ” Ya Allah, ya Allah, have pity on us, ya Allah consider what we went through in this few days since our coming till now, ya Allah remember what you said, you promised that any one that asked you shall be given, ya Allah your promised has always been in your born, please don’t change it, accept it ya Allah”, he continued

    Alhaji Arabi while explaining that, any journey such as this that ones expect success at the end of it doesn’t come without some tribulation and challenges, admonished the pilgrims that they must all agree as human being.

    ” Only Allah is perfect, most definitely there are a lot of expectations by either those coming for the first time or those that would have been coming all this wide, please if you have noticed any short coming, we ask for your forgiveness and we didn’t do it in any way to make you suffer, wallahi, so find a place in your heart and forgive us just as you seek for forgiveness from Allah, if we did anything wrong please pardon us, is not deliberate but we will continue to pray as we come safely, May Allah take us back to our family safely”, the NAHCON added.

    Earlier, the Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for the FCT 2024 Hajj, Dr Abdullahi Isa Kaura-Mata commended the pilgrims for the show of maturity and orderliness throughout the Hajj Rituals in the Holy Land.

    Dr Kaura-Mata then appreciated the Honorable Minister of FCT, Mr Nyesom Wike and the honorable Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud for their continue support towards ensuring that everything went on smoothly since their assumption to office August last year.

    Also speaking, the Director, FCT Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board, Malam Abubakar Adamu Evuti who cannot hide his joy with the visit of the NAHCON chairman to FCT Tent in Mina expressed satisfaction and commended the synergy between the Commission and the Saudi Authority on how to make the most important exercise a hitch free to the Pilgrims.

    Malam Evuti further revealed that some of the new policies and programmes introduced by the new leadership of the Commission, such as reducing the number of days spend in Medinah from one week to four days has further justify the commitment of the commission to ease the process for the pilgrims.

    Evuti then called on the pilgrims to continue to pray for the peace and stability of Nigeria particularly the success of the renewed hope initiative of the present administration.
