Maurice Oru Ebam ESQ, the immediate past Social Secretary of YLF NBA Abuja Unity Bar has come out to defend the Nigeria Bar Association against backlash and public criticism that has followed the invitation of Portable, the Zazu crooner to perform at its annual event.
The young lawyer said the issue must be clarified to prevent a further backlash from Nigerians who were disappointed over the presence of Portable as a guest artist.
“The Cubana Group were in charge of the NBA friendship center and as we all know Portable is a brand ambassador of Odogwu Bitters owned by Obi Cubana as Portable was only brought in to boost their sales only for their product.
“The NBA must be sincerely appreciated since lawyers are social engineers for not discriminating even though Portable does not match the high standard expected of lawyers who are respectable individuals but don’t vibe to his songs.
“Portable must be respected, he is a man with a vision and confidence to pursue it to reality no matter the odd against him,” he said.
