A yet-to-be-identified man has drowned after he was swept away by heavy flooding in the Abuke Egba area of Lagos state today, Monday.
The man was swept away by the flood and then got trapped in a hole covered with water. Passersby who saw him tried their best to pull him from the water.
A video showing how residents worked to try and rescue the man, was shared online. According to reports, efforts to rescue the man proved abortive.
