A member of the House of Representatives representing Lavun, Edati and Mokwa federal constituencies of Niger state, Mr. Joshua Audu Gana says he will continue to partner with well meaning Organisations to touch the lives of Nigerians.
He made the pledge at the Investiture and fundraising of thirty seven million naira for the construction of a Primary Healthcare Facility and other projects by the Rotary Club of Abuja, Kubwa Gateway, in Ijayapi community, in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
He stated that he likes identifying with well meaning and reputable organisations that impacts the lives of Nigerians
such as the Rotary Club of Abuja.
Mr. Gana also said that it is not everything that should be left for the Federal , State or Local Government to fund.
‘ I am here to partner with them. We need to partner good groups like Rotary and other charitable groups to make impact to communities that have not felt the impact of the government and don’t have the basic amenities of life. So, why we associate with them is that we must have relationships far and wide, in order to bring about the good things for the human race”.Mr Gana said.
He commended the president of Rotary Club of Abuja Kubwa Gateway, for the good job the club is doing.
The President of the club, Mrs Adaeze Ukwuoma said the health centre is the star project for the club in 2024/2025 because it would make a great impact on the lives of residents of the community.
She said that the club would continue to support local communities, while also making a meaningful impact globally.
She therefore called on well-meaning Nigerians to join Rotary club on the journey of making impacts in local communities.
“I am deeply thankful for the trust you have placed in me, and I pledge to work tirelessly to uphold the ideals of our great organisation. As we gather here today, we are reminded of the power of service above self.
“We are part of a global community that has been a force for good, transforming lives and communities for over a century. My vision for our club is to build on the strong foundation laid by my predecessors, to innovate and to take bold action.
“Let us work together to make magic to provide water in communities where there is no water, provide for our lactating mothers and babies in our communities, provide basic health care and education for those who cannot afford it, that is the magic of Rotary. Above all, to complete, furnish and commission Ijayapi Community Health Care Centre for the use of that community,” she added.
She said that when completed, the healthcare centre will be handed over to the government for the deployment of personnel for the benefit of humanity.
