Popular Nigerian activist and entertainer Charly Boy has revealed how former president, chief Olusegun Obasanjo reportedly stopped 1.5 million citizens of Chad from gaining access into the country in order to participate in Saturday’s presidential election.
Charly Boy made the revelation on his Instagram page. According to Charly Boy, the Nigerian elder statesman received a call from a junior immigration officer that 100 trucks carrying over 1.5 million Chadians got access to the Nigerian border and were heading to Kaduna State, adding that Obasanjo responded immediately and asked his personal security officials to block all roads leading to Kaduna State, which led to the capturing of the trucks.
Charly Boy further revealed that the trucks did not have plate numbers and the Chadians who were holding Nigerian PVCs pretended not to hear English, adding that Obasanjo ordered such PVCs to be collected and destroyed immediately.
The singer finally disclosed that Chad’s President was contacted immediately by Obasanjo and he denied knowing about such an incident, and the Chadians were ordered to go back to their country.
