A teenage girl, identified as Basira Abu, has confessed to being paid the sum of ₦100,000 by bandits to spy on people.
Naija News learnt that Basira was arrested by security operatives when the bandits sent her on a mission to spy on the residents of the Matazu community in Katsina state.
The suspect, who the Katsina State Police paraded on Monday, also narrated how she delivered some basic things, including food, to the bandits’ hideouts.
Basira added that one of the bandits was her boyfriend and had three guns in his possession.
She said, “My name is Basira Abu from Hassan House. I was sent by Magaji, Safulahi, Lado, Haruna, and Ashiru to gather information on people.
“I was promised N100,000. I went to their hideout twice; on my first visit, they gave me fifty thousand naira, and on my second visit, they gave me another N50,000. I only went there to deliver rice, beans, spaghetti, recharge card, and oranges. I have some friends who also go there with me: Aisha, Mariam Gaza, and Khadija.
“Safulahi is my boyfriend, and he has three guns. This is my second time visiting his place.”
