In the wake of the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential campaign rally in Enugu, a video showing the moment the ruling party’s flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu canvassed a chieftain, and billionaire business mogul, Tein Jack-Rich to support his election financially in the southeast, has surfaced online.
Raye24reporters reported that the APC presidential candidate was received at the Enugu International Airport by Governors Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, and other APC chieftains in the South East.
Tinubu was accompanied by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and his Jagawa counterpart, Abubakar Badaru, alongside other APC national leaders.
At the campaign rally held at the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu, Tinubu subtly warned the Igbos that they would continue to be marginalized until he gets their support.
Recall that on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, Tinubu and his entourage of APC bigwigs, stormed the southeastern state of Enugu to flag off the ruling party’s presidential, gubernatorial, and senatorial campaigns in the state.
However, while addressing a mammoth crowd of supporters at the rally, Tinubu suddenly spoke to Jack-Rich, who also contested for the APC’s presidential ticket at the primaries some months ago, insisting that he (Jack-Rich) is wealthy enough to single-handedly fund the ruling party’s presidential election efforts in the entire southeast region. Going further, Tinubu insisted that the young man must be willing to invest in his presidential bid for him to harvest from the incoming government should the APC emerge victorious.
“Jack-Rich, we thank you for all you’ve been doing, but you are rich enough to finance our entire election in the southeast. It is only when you invest that you can harvest. Jack, bring the money and shake my hand. God bless you.”
