The Minister of Works Engr Nweze David Umahi today, 23rd January, 2024, played host to the Hon. Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas Lawal.
The meeting which was held behind closed doors is no doubt part of the innovative initiatives of the Renewed Hope administration of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Sen Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to foster a sense of inter-ministerial collaboration and thinking of the box in tackling different developmental challenges facing the nation.
The mandate of the Federal Ministry of Environment which focuses on innovative strategies that emphasize the use of environmental re – engineering as a veritable tool for job creation, poverty eradication, food security, sustainable economic development and general improvement in the livelihood of Nigerians requires a great deal of the works sub- sector to be actualized.
