Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has said congratulatory messages from world leaders have affirmed the victory of Bola Tinubu in the just-concluded presidential election.
Some world leaders have congratulated the APC flagbearer on his election victory after he was declared the winner of the February 25 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Tinubu polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the PDP who had 6,984,520 votes, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) who secured 6,101,533 votes.
Some of the world leaders who have sent congratulatory messages to the president-elect include the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, President Emmanuel Macron of France and King Salman of Saudi Arabia, among others.
Taking to his Twitter account on Monday evening, Fani-Kayode said following the goodwill messages from the world leaders means, the opposition parties have been defeated.
He wrote: “With Russia, China, UK, France, Saudi Arabia, Ghana, America, South Africa & so many others congratulating our President-elect, I believe its all over for the opposition. No stopping this train now. @officialABAT is your next President whether u like it or not. Glory be to God!”
