According to the Jigawa state schoolaship board a total of N731,198,825 million was spend for the payment of 30,768 students scholarship study at 68 higher institution of learning within and out side the country.
The executive secretary of the board Malam Sale Yusif Kazaure has said out of the total number of students who received internal scholarship from 2015 to 2021 the Jigawa state government has spent over N2,846,8151,78 million
While for the foriegn student the state has paid N3,290,377,780.02 which make a total sum of N6,136,459,282.80 million.
The secretary added that in 2018 and 2019 the Jigawa state government has spent N137,718,350 million in eight higher instituations of learning for the payment of students scholarship at five selected instituations in which about 6754 students benefited.
The secretary said these instituations include Federal Poly Kazaure, school of information Technology Kazaure, Federal University Dutse FUD, and Bilyami Usman Colledges of Agriculture Hadejia and Jigawa State Poly Dutse .
While the remain three higher instituations are sule lamido university kafin hausa colledges of education. and legal study Ringim and colledges of education Gumel whare a total of 18,007 students benefited with the sum of N282,115,350 million as their scholarship.
Out of that number 920 student benefited the sum of N43,144000 as scholarship at Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa for Ringim colledge of education and legal study 4606 student received N41,456,000 as their payment of scholarship.
The secretary added that in Gumel College of Education 6029 students benefited the sum of N59,817,000 in which a grand total of N282,115,350 m was disbursed to 18,007 students as scholarship
Alhaji Sale kazaure, who express his satisfaction said that Kano state also paid 5935 students studying at 14 higher institutions of learning the sum of N213,708,820.
He therefore explained that 6036 student studying out side Kano and Jigawa state at 46 higher institution of learning received the sum of N235,374,655 million as their scholarship from Jigawa state schoolaship board
The secretary explained the total number of institution Jigawa state students are taking their study are 68 in number with a total of 30,768 students who receiving payment of N731,198,825million.
