Jigawa Trains Forest Guard And Sanitary Officers

The Governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, has approved the promotion of 1,433 staffs of Jigawa state local government commission

This was disclosed by the chairman of the commission former DIG Alhaji Uba Bala Ringim in a press briefing held at the commision yesterday.

He said the commission also approved to sponsored 194 staffs on a special training programme which include the training of sanitary Overseers, training of forest guard and the training of assistant works superintendents.

He explained further that training of such officer under the commission has disbursed the sum of N59,691,500 for the training.

Adding that 56 workshops and seminars was conducted by the commission in which a total sum of N218,263,675.00 was spent by the commission.

In the area of staff training on education a total of 634 staff were sponsored to under go various in service training programme at various higher institution of learning across the state and the country for them to obtained additional qualification to developed their performance.

In the area of staff posting, about 54 senior staff has been posted to various local government areas as director of administration and general services and director planning research and statistic.

DIG Uba Bala worn the staff of the commission to obey the order of the commission, adding that any staff posted to place of duty and he/she did not comply with the rule of the civil service and refused to go to the place posted such individual has dismissed himself from duty authimaticaly

He reassured that the commission has embark on it schedule visit to the local government council with a view to ensure proper attendant and increase of productivity of local government staff.

Uba seek the support of journalist working in the state to go round to all the 27 local government areas and report any local government with poor attendants of staff to his office.

He advise journalist to demand for the attendants register because the commission has provided seven register for seven department in each of the local government of the state and any chairman who fail to cooperate with the journalist are advice to send their report to the commission.
