Six month after receiving 2000 gas cylinder maint for empowering women in jigawa from the federal ministry of women affairs from the office of minister of humanaterian is yet to be distributed.
Confirming the story the director admin and finance Alhaji Bashir Zubairu kazaure who was represented the permanent secretary women affairs Jigawa state Hajia Hauwa Zakar, said we were directed to collect and keep the two thousand gas cylinder in our stores.
“We are still waiting for directive for distributing, we wrote to them to come and distribute, we cannot go ahead to distribute until they send their staff or give order to distribute”.
Bashir added that the project is maint to empower women and we are targeting only women for the programme.
She also noted that 40 trycycles donated by APC Jigawa North West Senator Babangida Hussaini Kazaure, will be distribute by governor Badaru himself.
“All the trycles has been assembled and are ready for distribution”.
However, on the issue of orphan the Jigawa state ministry of women affairs has adopted 17 children who were handed over to be adopted by parents while four of the children are currently residing at the state centre
She also dismissed the alligation that the centre has 13 children but the official number of orphan in the centre are four.
While visiting the centre Hajiya Fatima who is working, said majority of the children in the center are abandoned babys
She confirmed that the Jigawa state government is doing well in providing food iterms to the centre for feeding the orphans
