JTMoore Foundation mourns passing of Kyari

The Jeffrey Tyrone Moore Foundation, on Thursday mourned the passing of Hajiya Yachilla Imam Kyari, the mother of Super Cop Abba Kyari, who died on May 5.

The President of the foundation, Mary Moore, said in the condolence letter to Abba Kyari and his family, made available to journalists in Abuja, that Yachilla’s legacy and impact on the community were worth emulating.

Moore commended the people of Borno for their massive support and solidarity to Abba Kyari and the Kyari family during this difficult time.

She appealed to the Federal Government to take steps towards releasing Abba Kyari, who is being prosecuted for various crimes, on the ground that the allegations against him were bailable.

“We thank all civil society groups and individuals, both from formal and informal sectors, who have stood by the Kyari family during this trial period.

“Your support and massive solidarity are a testament to the power of community and the importance of standing together as one Nigeria.

“Sir, accept our condolences and know that you are dear in our hearts whenever we say a prayer,” she said.
