The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, has protested the results of the last Saturday’s governorship election.
This is as the chapter also demands the immediate removal of the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC).
Raye24reporters gathered that during the protest, the Legal Adviser to the state chapter of the party, Abdullahi Fagge presented a letter to the representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
They demanded that the results of the polls be reviewed.
It was gathered that despite the tight security at the INEC office in the state, protesters still found their way into the premises demanding a review of the results.
It was learnt that of the state REC who accepted the letter, Lawal Sani promised prompt action to their demands.
It would be recalled that the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) governorship candidate Yusuf Kabir was declared the governor-elect on Monday, defeating his counterpart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasir Gawuna.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state said it is carefully studying the results of the Kano governorship election and will soon make its position known.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday declared Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) as the winner of the Kano governorship contest with over one million votes.
Yusuf defeated the incumbent Deputy Governor and APC flagbearer, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, who polled over 890,000 votes.
But in a statement on Monday by the Spokesperson of Gawuna-Garo Campaign Council, Muhammad Garba said the party will take a decision on the matter soon.
Garba, who is the Kano Commissioner for Information, called for calm from their supporters.
