The chairman of Kiyawa local government area of Jigawa state, Malam Nasiru Ahmed, has distributed relief materials to 2,446 victims of flood disaster in the area.
The chairman said the council has purchased 200 mosquito net and 623 cartons of macaroni to be distributed to the affected flood victims.
While distributing the materials the chairman of the council charge the beneficiaries to make good use of the materials given to them.
The chairman appreciate the effort of Kiyawa district head Alh Adamu Aliyu, for his support.
While speaking to newsmen after the distribution of materials the district head of kiyawa Alhaji Adu Aliyu thank the council chairman, charge the distribution committee headed by the council chairman to have God in mind while distributing the items to victim.
He further advise the members of the committee to desist of playing politics while distributing the materials and appealed to them to discharge their duties with diligence and fear of Allah.
