Nollywood veteran turn politician, Hilda Dokubo, has continued lend her voice that she was suspended from the Labour Party (LP) at her ward in Asari Toru local government area (LGA) of Rivers state.
Raye24reporters reported that the LP’s chairperson in Rivers, was reportedly suspended on Thursday by the party’s ward executive committee over financial misconduct.
The suspension was conveyed through a letter addressed to the LP’s chairman of Asari Toru and signed by the ward Chairman, Ajalamonia Ibama; the Secretary, Lole Amacheer; and the Treasurer, Emmanuel Ibamathe.
Other signatories to the letter include the Women Leader, Osaki Dieypiriye, and the Publicity Secretary, Osaki Dokubo.
The ward executives said the decision followed a thorough investigation into the allegations against the 54-year-old actress.
In a post via Instagram on Monday, Hilda Dokubo said she is grateful for her upbringing, stressing that some thieves had wanted to dress her in their dirty coat.
She also slammed ‘paid media’ and those pushing the false narrative about the purported suspension.
She wrote: “Thank God my parents raised me well, otherwise the things king of structure has tried these few days… thieves wanted to dress me in their dirty coat.
“To All concerned, These are refutals from some of the same PAID propaganda media houses/news agencies that were quick to spread Li€$. Also when posting the Li€$ you all used sensational headlines. when it became time to spread the truth, you all used backhand statements, where is the sensationalism now. Sh@me on PAID media.”
