Zainab Ochero, a Kenyan woman who bit off her lover’s her during a fight over insufficient transport has been arraigned in court.
Ochero, was on Tuesday, March 1, charged at Kibera law court for causing serious injuries to man named Joseph Karanja, after he gave her KSh 100 as transport back home.
The incident reportedly happened at a bar around 2am on February 21, at Kangemi, Nairobi.
The two had disagreed in an attempt to resolve their relationship issues touching on infidelity.
Ms Ochero had gone to meet Mr. Karanja at the bar in Kangemi to discuss their affair and she went but they disagreed and she left for her house in Kawangware.
She rejoined him at the bar after he called her back to continue their argument over infidelity.
The Kenyan daily, reports that things escalated after Karanja gave her Sh100 after she requested he hire a bodaboda to take her home in Kawangware.
She also told cops that she was totally drunk and only remembers waking up at Kangemi police station later the same day.
Karanja carried his ear to a hospital but his attempts to have it sewn back turned futile after doctors said a reconstruction surgery could not be done as the ear could not function.
The suspect denied the charges before senior resident magistrate Charles Mwaniki.
She was released on a bond of Sh300, 000.
The matter will be mentioned on March 16.
