Lagos State government Officials on Wednesday grilled all parties involved in the alleged sexual abuse of 10-year-old pupil of Chrisland School.
It was gathered that they met at the Ministry of Education in the Alausa area of Lagos State.
According to Punch, a source revealed that the meeting started at 2:30pm and is still ongoing as of the time of filing this report.
The source further stated that officials of the Education Quality Assurance and those of the Directorate of Public Prosecution are currently interrogating representatives of the school management as well as the parents of the affected pupils.
However, none of the pupils involved in the sexual act was in attendance at the meeting.
The school management, the parents and other parties are expected to report to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.
The school management had earlier claimed
that the allegation of rape by the mother of the 10-year-old girl was false.
The incident happened when 76 pupils traveled to Dubai to represent the school in an event which was held between March 8 and 14, 2022.
The school authorities in its reaction to the development suspended the female student indefinitely, stating that she was “a major actor” in the “immoral act”.
The mother of the pupil, in a viral video, had claimed that her daughter was drugged and raped by some male students of the school.
