A Federal lawmaker representing Jigawa North West Sen. Babangida Hussaini Kazaure, has donated 40 tricycles to Jigawa state Government the tricycles, which are kept under the Jigawa state intervention centre is waiting for the governor’s directive.
He explained that all the tricycles has been assembled tested at the ministry store which is now kept under the directive of the state government our responsibility is to keep them up to the time they demand their property to take it.
On the issue of orphan the Jigawa state ministry of women affairs has adopted 17 children which were all handed over to parent while four children are currently residing at the state centre
Explained that majority of the adopted children’s a living at the hand of their adopted parent and the ministry is always watching and visiting the children’s
Explained further that the ministry of women affairs is given out assistance to adopted parents monthly to enable them to take care of the adopted children’s.
He assured that government is doing it best in taking care of their education in which must of them have written their final exam in secondary school, while some wrote placement other in primary schools
He dismissed the allegation leveled against the ministry that the centre has over 13 children at the centre, he said officially on their record they have only four orphan in the centre other children is own by the staff working in the centre
While visiting the centre Hajiya Fatima who is a staff working at the centre taking care of the children confirmed that they have four orphans at the centre other children seen at the centre majority of the children’s seen there are children belonging the staff working there.
She confirmed that the Jigawa state government is doing it best in providing food items to the centre for feeding the orphan
In a related development six month after Jigawa government received 2000 pieces of gas cylinders to assist women communities
the gas cylinders is meant for women empowerment
Confirming the story the director admin and finance Alhaji Bashir Zubairu Kazaure, who was directed to speak by the permanent secretary women affairs Jigawa state Hajia Hauwa Zakar, said we were directed to collect and keep the two thousand gas cylinder in our stores.
“We are still waiting for their directive for distribution we wrote to them to come and distribute, we cannot go ahead to distribute until they send their staff or give order to distribute.
Bashir, added that the project is meant to empower women and we are targeting only women for the programme.
