The Nigeria Civil aviation authority has confirmed the grounding of Arik Air over legal issues.
According to a statement signed by Michael Achimugu, Director consumer protection and public affairs, the NCAA says it is monitoring the situation and engaging Arik Air on plans for affected passengers.
The statement further assured passengers that their rights would be protected.
The regulators also invited passengers with inquiries to approach their officials at NCAA desks at various airports.
