The embattled Commander of the Police Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kyari, is currently been grilled by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA),
for alleged drug trafficking.
Officials of the agency confirmed to Punch on Tuesday that progress has been made on the interrogation of the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police and four others.
An official of NDLEA who spoke on condition of anonymity said the investigation is ongoing and he would be arraigned soon.
The legal officer further stated that the facts obtained so far are enough to arraign Kyari.
The official said, “He will be arraigned for criminal charges by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act.”
The Director of Media and Advocacy for NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, said Kyari would be prosecuted.
Babafemi said, “The ultimate goal of any criminal investigation is prosecution.”
