Netizens Blast Naira Marley Over Mohbad’s Death

Netizens have dragged Naira Marley, the former label boss of Mohbad, and Zinoleesky for expressing their condolences following the untimely death of the singer.

The music industry was rocked by the devastating news of Mohbad‘s passing on Tuesday at the age of 27, due to complications arising from an ear infection.

Naira Marley, who was not only Mohbad‘s label boss but also had previous disputes with him, and Zinoleesky both took to their Instagram stories to mourn the loss with heartbroken emojis.

In response to their expressions of grief, many social media users are accusing them of shedding crocodile tears.

They are holding Naira Marley responsible for Mohbad’s death.

Critics also accused Naira Marley and the Marlians of influencing Mohbad negatively and pushing him into a mentally unstable lifestyle.

This sentiment stemmed from an Instagram live session where Mohbad had declared that if he died prematurely, fans should blame his record label.

Eku Paula said: “Naira Marley destroyed the boy mentally and canceled him against show promoters, which affected Mohbad’s career.”

Talk2elis warned, “Keep the same energy you had when he was alive. There’s no peace for the wicked.”

Fit Joseph added, “Naira Marley and Zino, others might be afraid to say this, but I’m not. You have a lot of explaining to do. You did too much to my guy. His mental health suffered, and he couldn’t afford the life he wished for because of what you did to him. Nigerians will not forget this.”

Ifemeludike charged: “You introduced him to drugs and a notorious, filthy, and dangerous lifestyle. And now you’re just dropping emojis. He was a kid under your care, and you couldn’t help him. Instead, you destroyed him. This is on you, man.”

Sharry Starrs said: “They definitely have some explaining to do.”

Mohbad was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” but left the label in 2022.

The rift between them escalated when Mohbad alleged an assault by Naira Marley’s crew after requesting a change of manager.

Naira Marley responded with counterclaims, sparking a public dispute between them.
