Netizens Reacts as Plateau Governor Join Colleagues to Pay Homage to Tinubu

A social media user has lamented the decision of the Plateau state Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, to join other governors to pay homage to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos at a time his people are organising mass burial in the state.

The governor was sighted among the many governors who visited the President in Lagos saying it was a homage on the president who is holidaying in Lagos.

NPO Reports that there have been a massacre in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau state leading to the loss of more than a 100 lives.

An X user, simply identified as Emmanuel with the handle Emmanuel_yours wrote “It would have meant more if they visited survivors of the egregious attacks in Plateau State.

Unfortunately, I am seeing the state governor is part of the entourage to “pay homage”, while the people that voted him bury their loved ones in anguish.

“The governor had earlier in the day accused the Federal Government of lack of political will to end terrorism. He said for five years, terrorists had been occupying school premises without dislodging them.

“We must stop this carnage,” the governor said matter-of-factly, adding that security agents “cannot continue with this reactionary strategy but be proactive,” he had said on a Channels Television live programme on Tuesday.
