The Nigerian Military has reportedly killed eleven Boko Haram terrorists on Wednesday in an encounter with the terrorist group
According to reports obtained the troops of 29 Task Force Brigade Operation Hadin Kai overpowered the terrorists in three separate encounters in Borno and Yobe States.
The first encounter according to reports, happened in Goniri, a community in the Gujba local government area of Yobe State.
It was reported that some the terrorists were planting mines, targeted at the gallant troops of the Nigerian Army when they met their Waterloo.
The troops upon sighting the insurgents, opened fire which triggered the IED to explode killing two of the assailants.
It was gathered that two others were killed while attempting to escape shots from the troops.
In another development, the troops encountered another sets of four terrorists on two motorcycles and neutrialised them around the Shettimari village, while their motor cycles were immediately set ablaze.
Zagazola Makama, the troops also eliminated three insurgents on bicycles after they laid an ambush against the Terrorists around the axis of Jalori in Kaga Local Government Area in Borno State.
The fresh victory against the insurgent, Naija News understands is coming barely a week after a multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) killed several Boko Haram/ISWAP members during an operations in the Vretet-Zamga-Ngoshe triangle in the general area of Kirawa on the Nigeria /Cameroon borders.
It was reported that the MNJTF sector 1 Cameroon carried out the military operations that led to the death of many of the terrorists and injuring others who fled with gunshot wounds.
According to a security expert, Zagazola Makama, the operations were conducted within the period between February 23- 27 2022.
The troops were said to have recovered a large number of materials and assorted foodstuff, 01 AK47 rifle, 01 AK47 Magazine, several ammunitions of the 7.62 MM special variant, 21 bicycles, 01 BHT uniform, 39 bags millet.
The items were being smuggled from the borders to sambisa forest and it is believed the terrorists are stockpiling materials for the incoming month of Ramadan.
