Nigerian Police Force Debunk Laying Siege to Emefiele’s Abuja Home

The Nigerian Police Force has on Tuesday night debunk the report of deploying its personnel to the Abuja home of the governor of Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele.

It would be recalled that some section of the media had earlier reported that the police had surrounded the Abuja residence Emefiele on Tuesday night.

The report claimed  that the police were about 10 in number and were seen around the CBN governor’s home in Abuja on Tuesday night, January 17, at about 8:40 pm.

However, the Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi told Vanguard that he was not aware of such an operation.

He said, “I am not aware”.

Emefiele To Appear Before An Abuja High Court

Emefiele, has been asked to present himself before a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

The embattled apex bank governor was summoned to appear for a hearing over a suit seeking his arrest for alleged $53 million judgement debt arising from the Pars Club refunds.
