Nigeria’s New President Appoints First Set of Aides, Alake Spokesman.

President Bola Tinubu has announced his first set of appointees hours after being sworn in.

The appointments were those of the State Chief of Protocol, Presidential Spokesman and the Special Assistant Digital Media.

Tinubu named Ambassador Kunle Adeleke as the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP) to the President, while Mr. Dele Alake becomes the Presidential Spokesman and
Olusegun Dada was named SA Digital Media.

Alake was the former Commissioner for Information in Lagos State under Tinubu.

Victor Adekunle Adeleke is an Oyo-born career diplomat.

The newly appointed SCOP officially, began his assignment, today, Monday, May 29, 2023.

“An accomplished diplomat and lawyer, Ambassador Adeleke joined the Nigerian Foreign Service in 1993 and rose through the ranks, serving in various missions abroad and at the Headquarters, including the State House. His appointment is adjudged as well-deserved by his colleagues as he takes over from Ambassador Lawal Kazuare”.

Mr Dele Alake, also a thorough bred Journalist takes over from Mr Femi Adesina.

President Bola Tinubu has promised to hit the ground running in making public his appointees without delay.
