The Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has lamented the absence of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at her polling unit in Abia State as at 11.45 am when accreditation and voting are supposed to commence.
The former minister of finance said she had been waiting for more than two hours, along with several villagers at her ward, but no sign of INEC staff yet.
She said: “Waiting to vote at my polling station in Umuda Isingwu village Umuahia, Abia state.
“I have been waiting one hour. Many villagers have been here since 7 am. Where are the INEC officers?”
