The quest to strengthen their electoral chances in the coming general elections with the ultimate aim to sack the ruling All Progressive Congress, the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party LP, Peter Obi has teamed up with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of the main opposition, the People Democratic Party, PDP.
According to the report, the two political parties, the People Democratic Party and Labour Party LP, has formerly entered into an alliance.
According to a source Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party said the alliance was made seamless and possible because of common political ideology, interest and historical ties between the two party candidates
His words “The formed this alliance for one purpose, to overthrow and take down the evil system of operations in Nigeria that is fast sinking the ship of Nigeria.
Both parties, PDP and Labour Party, have several similarities beginning from the formation to the founding fathers.
“However, this is the best and purest alliance of two great political parties in Nigeria, and I strongly maintained my position that other political parties contesting in the 2023 election are not different from each other.
The APC was formed by people who defected from the PDP shortly before 2015 elections for the sole purpose of winning elections.
“In the build up to the coming elections, there are four political parties that seems to be louder in the media, namely, PDP, Labour Party, NNPP, and APC. One thing is common with them. All the characters therein are originally from PDP and the Labour Party are overflow of PDP. Meanwhile, the case of APC is the orphanage home for Internally Displaced Politicians (IDP)”.
However, the source has expressed optimism that the alliance will herald stronger and formidable platform that will culminate in electoral victory in 2023, thus rekindling the hopes and confidence of Nigerians at home and abroad in their country.
