Various labour unions in Katsina State on Monday marked the 2023 Workers Day celebration, also known as May Day.
Highlights of the celebration included a parade by virtually all the affiliated unions of the Nigeria Labour Congress in the state and the donation of a cow to Governor Aminu Masari by members of the state chapter of the Amalgamated Unions of Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria.
During the event, the NLC also bemoaned the issue of insecurity in the state.
It challenged the incoming government in the state to prioritise and ensure the safety of residents’ lives and property.
