Mrs Omobewaji Ewatomi, wife of popular street singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly called Portable, has petitioned the Nigeria Police Force through the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2 Headquarters Command, Onikan, Lagos State, over claims of threat to life and character assassination, among others.
Ewatomi alleged that Disc Jockey Ademola Abiodun, aka DJ Chicken, tried to blackmail her with claims of having her sex tape.
In the petition dated November 10, 2023, and titled “Petition Against Abiodun Ademola (AKA) DJ Chicken For Conspiracy, Conduct Likely To Cause Breach Of Peace, Character Assassination And Threat To Life,” the singer’s wife said DJ Chicken continued to harass and even threatened to end her life and that of her family.
The petition reads in part; “I am a law abiding woman and happily married with kids for my husband. I wish to kindly bring to your notice the criminal activities of the aforementioned person and his cohorts who have vowed to make life unbearable for me and my family.
“Some few months ago, the said DJ. Chicken called me and started threatening to expose me via social media platforms that he has a video of me having sex with someone and that if I don’t cooperate, he will publish it online. At first I thought it was a joke until recently he started sending me threat messages that he will come after me and my family since I choose not to agree to his demand; just of recent some strange numbers started calling me and promised to kill me and my family. Sir kindly use your good office to come to our aid.
“Sir, as I speak, none of us can go out for fear of being killed by this Abiodun Ademola (a.k.a) DJ. Chicken. Counting on your kind assistance and prompt-respond sir,” it added.
However in an Instagram post on Friday, Ewatomi, sharing her petition against the DJ on her IG, Ewatomi captioned the post; “Dj chicken, police invite you since all this day you didn’t show up police send you the petition to you on WhatsApp you didn’t respond; even you get the mind to block his number so now go and report yourself at police station headquarters zone 2 to proof yourself all what you say about me.”
