Presidential Debate: John Akugbe Admonishes Labour Party Candidate Peter Obi.

As the 2023 general elections draws near German based Nigerian John Akugbe, has called on the Labour Party LP presidential candidate Peter Obi to stop attending presidential debates where the presidential candidate are not present.

Recall that on Sunday, presidential candidates from four of the 18 registered political parties appeared at a town hall meeting to dialogue with citizens.

Those in attendance were Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Kola Abiola of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

Also present was the PDP vice-presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa, who represented Atiku Abubakar.

The event was organised by the Centre for Democracy and Development and Arise Television. It is the first in the series of meetings and Sunday’s event focused on security and the economy.

Raye24reporters, reported how Atiku and Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), were absent at the debate.

The Delta State born philanthropist and business man, who resides in Stuttgart, Germany on his verified Facebook Account on Tuesday, (today), pen down some words of admonishment to the Labour Party LP presidential candidate.

In his word “Your Excellency, you were right when you said that; for us to take back our country from them, we have to be as mad as them”.

“Please let me add that; “it is not only as mad as them, but also as cunning and crafty as them”.

He went further, “Henceforth Sir, you will no longer attend any presidential debate that any of the presidential candidates sends his deputy to! If all the presidential candidates are not there themselves, please don’t go”!!

“Sir, You are a presidential candidate, and you cannot be debating with a vice presidential candidate. Even if you are already there at the debate hall, step aside and let your running mate engage them running mate to running mate. Enough is already enough, Sir”.he said!
