The Ringim Emirate Progressive Movement (REPM), have signed a peace accord for the 2023 general election on Saturday.
The event is in collaboration with four local government areas under the Emirates, the local governments include Ringim, Babura, Garki, and Taura local governments with the Theme: Unity progress, and equity.
The peace accorded, was attended by the major political parties in the states such as the All Progressives Congress APC, People’s Democratic Party PDP, and New Nigerian People’s Party NNPP.
Those also in attendance are traditional rulers from across the local governments, religious leaders, security agencies, political aspirants, party members, women, and youth.
The objectives of the event are to ensure peace and tranquility among party members and to ensure a free fair and credible election.
The traditional and religious leaders charge the political aspirants to stay in peace among themselves and believe in win and failure as leadership is bestowed by God.
Chief Imam of Ringim local government Sheik Auwal Muhammad advised the attendees to be faithful loyal and honest in their daily activities so that God will help them archive their desires.
Muhammad charge the people to respect each other, do justice and worship God almighty and ask for forgiveness at any time and pray for peace and stability in Nigeria.
The event which took place in Ringim local government drew the attention of residents as such an event was witnessed for the first time without any violence among party members.
The chairman of the Forum Musbahu Muhammad thanks the party members, traditional rulers, religious leaders, security agencies women and youth for their maximum cooperation toward enduring that the event went successfully without any violence.
