Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the looting of grains by residents at a palliative warehouse in Adamawa State.
Raye24reporters reports that residents of the state invaded the government’s grains store and looted food items, while hoodlums attack people with matches and broke into business premises carting away property.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Sunday, Senator Sani said the attack on the warehouse is a sign of the level of desperation, hunger and poverty in the land.
The former lawmaker, therefore, called on the federal government to checkmate the hardships and suffering before it spreads to other parts of the country.
He wrote: “The Storming of the Palliative Warehouse in Adamawa by the masses is a sign of the level of desperation, hunger and poverty in the land.
“The earlier the hardships and suffering are alleviated and checkmated the better before it spreads to the other parts of the country.”
