Soldiers Takes Over Road Leading to Gov Bello’s Hometown, Arrest Occupants of ‘Strange’ Vehicle

Men of the Nigerian Army have reportedly barricaded the roads leading to Okene, the hometown of the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.

The action comes a few moments before the commencement of the governorship election voting in the state on Saturday.

The Soldiers, who were on election duty in Kogi State, intercepted and arrested occupants of three ‘strange’ black-coloured security vehicles on Saturday morning.

The arrest was done by the soldiers who mounted a barricade at Itakpe Junction shortly before Okene main town.

Raye24reporters reports there is a restriction of vehicular movement in the state from 12 midnight on Friday to 6pm on Saturday as voters go to poll today to elect a new governor.
