The Governor of Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, has disclosed that the former Tennis champion, Tania Okpala, is back on the courts.
This comes after Soludo said she would undergo rehabilitation after a video circulated online showing the athlete roaming the streets of Awka and pleading for assistance.
In an update on his X handle on Thursday, February 29, Soludo wrote: “Tania Okpala is back on the courts!
“A few months ago, social media was flooded with a viral video showing Ms. Tania in a distressing state on the streets of Awka. I am pleased to report that we have successfully restored Tania to her winning ways.”
Born to a Belarusian mother and Anambra-native father, Okpala, represented Nigeria in the 1990s.
