A nigerian and Delta state born business mogul based in Germany, Chief John Idenuwa Akugbe (Oza-Furu Agbor of Agbor kingdom) sympathizes with Agbor kingdom and her residents, following the tragic fire outbreak that occurred in Agbor, the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, and on Sunday due to tanker explosion that led to the destruction of lives and properties.
In his condolence message, Chief John Akugbe noted that it pains to see people cry, especially when it is about the loss of loved ones or over their means of livelihood.
The Oza-Furu-Agbor of Agbor kingdom, therefore, charge residents to always pay attention to all safety regulations to minimise such incidents in the future.
He however, counsel residents to keep hope alive to face the challenges ahead, stating that the tragic incident should not be seen as the end to life, but a challenge that can be defeated with time and practical measures.
He said: “Am sending my heart felt condolences to Agbor Kingdom and her residents over the tanker explosion that occurred yesterday, which led to the destruction of lives and properties. It’s quite unfortunate that we’re experiencing such, at a time like this, when we are still in the season of celebrations.
“To those that have lost their loved ones to the fire outbreak, I sympathize with you and pray the Almighty God to grant you all the courage to bear the loss. I want to charge you to be courageous in these trying times, for I believe that the Almighty God knows best, and He alone holds a better future for everyone.”
“And for the families that lost their means of survival, keep your hopes alive. As long as you are breathing and alive, you will surely recover all you have lost because, we, the people of Agbor kingdom and residents are known for our resilience and strength to carry on in the midst of storms and challenges of life”.
