The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu has submitted his presidential nomination forms to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The forms were supposed to contain the identity of Tinubu’s running mate but the reverse was the case as the former governor of Lagos State did not reveal the name of his Vice President to be.
The ace politician again heightens the anticipation of Nigerians on whom he has chosen to be his running mate for the 2023 elections.
Meanwhile, the deadline stipulated by INEC ends today, after which the commission will forbid later submission.
Tinubu, however, claimed that he has submitted his nomination forms to INEC on Wednesday, June 15.
“As stipulated by the electoral law and INEC guidelines and timetable, the standard-bearer of the All Progressives Congress, HE Asíwájú Bola Tinubu, has returned his duly completed nomination forms to INEC,” a statement issued on Friday from the Tinubu Media Office by Tunde Rahman read.
The statement added: “The forms were returned on Wednesday, June 15, two days ahead of schedule.
“We wish to reiterate that HE Asíwájú Tinubu stands ready to contest the February 25, 2023, presidential election to deliver progressive good governance to our people.”
