Tinubu to Attend Crucial APC Campaign Council Meeting on Friday

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, is expected back in the country on Friday from his foreign trip.

R24R, learnt that APC presidential candidate is expected to attend a crucial meeting of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on Friday at the council’s secretariat in Abuja.

However, the former Lagos State Governor has been out of the country for two weeks, and his absence has generated varied reactions.

There are also concerns about his health and whereabouts, following his absence at the signing of the peace accord ahead of the 2023 elections.

In a tweet on Sunday, the APC flagbearer released a workout video, stating that he is alive, fit and ready to serve Nigerians.

However, in a chat with TheCable, a source close to Tinubu said the APC presidential candidate has been resting during his trip.

The source adds that the former governor has been working on his manifesto and holding crucial meetings and receiving  briefings.

The source said: “He is returning before the weekend.

“He has been resting and busy as well, holding crucial meetings, receiving strategic briefings and reading up materials and finalising work on the manifesto. He’s been very engaged.”
