Two Abducted as Police Arrest Cattle Rustlers in Jigawa

The Jigawa state police command, has confirmed the abduction of a sixty years old women identified as Khadija Yakubu together with her sixteen years old grand daughter Aisha Shuaibu in Andaza village of Kiyawa Local Government of Jigawa state.

The Jigawa state commissioner of Police Mr Emmanuel Effiom Ekot, while confirming the incidents, said the kidnappers invade Andaza village around 2;00 am on Sunday and whisk the women and her grand daughter to the bush.

He added that in the process of taking the women away the abductors, shut two people on their hand and legs as they are trying to rescues the victims.

The commissioner also disclosed that the two individual who sustained juries as a result of gun shut are now taking care in hospital to save their life.

Stating furthers, he noted that the police are now hunting the kidnappers to bring them to book assuring that the police will try their best to bring an end of such happening.

Raye24reporters, gathered that the victims were relatives to the current permanent secretary ministry of health Doctor Sambo and a mother to a professional doctor in Andaza Private hospital Doctor Abubakar Andaza

In another development the police also arrested two suspect alleged to be cattle rustlers 

The suspect were arrested in Mai Gatari market trying to sell the cows, police have recovered eleven cows alleged been stolen from Takazza village where 16 cows were reportedly missing during a communal clash between farmer and Fulani herders and over 16 local grains store were burnt by fulani and five person wounded and sixteen cows were stolen by herders.

The commissioner said on their record only two people ware wounded and were all taken to hospital for treatment and remain suspected will soon be apprehended.

In his responses the council chairman of Guri Hon. Musa Shu,aibu Guri said five person were seriously wounded by herders and nine house were burnt down in Takazza village of Guri Local Government .

Confirming that about 16 cows were stolen as the Fulani set houses ablaze in Takazza village the chairman accused the Fulani settlers in the area for hosting migrant herders in the area with out the consent of the Local government
