Two security men have been killed by gunmen at Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Daily Trust, reports that the victims were killed for attending a prayer session organized by the governor of Anambra of state, Charles Soludo.
The unfortunate incident which occurred during Monday’s sit-at-home order took place after the prayer session had ended.
The state police command spokesman, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, said only one person was lost his life during the attack.
Explaining further, he said the incident occurred around 10.30 pm on Monday April 4.
The hoodlums had invaded the area and began to shoot nonstop along the road close to Aguata LGA Secretariat before the bullet hit one of the Church security men.
The spokesman stated that no arrest has been made yet but the command had deployed it’s operatives around the area.
However, an eyewitness told the publication that more than one person was killed from the incident and added that the gunmen invaded the area without any challenge from anywhere.
