A 35 year old women identified as Ladi Anndu, a commercial sex worker have allegedly been killed in her room by an unknown individual at the Gandu sarki Hadejia, local government area of Jigawa state.
Sources in Hadejia, said many people were arrested by police in connection with her death, a situation which has made the residence of Gandu fled their homes.
According to a sources who pleaded anonymity, said residence of the area are now living in fear due to unlawful arrest by the police and some are refusing to sleep in their houses because most of the people arrested were innocent
The Jigawa state police command when contacted, said on 26/02/2022 ABOUT 2045HRS one women name Linder Geoffrey age 30YRS went Hadejia police zonal command and reported that on the same date at about 2030HRS that unknown person trespassed in to her sister room one Ladi Anndu who’s 35years old used a sharp objects and Inflicted injuries on her neck.
Open receiving the information the police visited the scene and the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment where she was later confirmed the dead while in admission receiving treatment
The police public relations officer Lawan Shisu Adam, who confirmed the incident added that the police recovered one scissors with blood stain at the scene among the exhibits
The police said the culprits be arrested and justice will be served.
