The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Ayodele Sonubi, revealed during a press conference that two suspected armed robbers, Lekan Taiwo and Olasunkanmi Oluwaseyi, were arrested in connection with the murder of Yisa Mohammed in Oyo State.
Alongside them, a total of 41 suspects were paraded by the police command, showcasing their efforts to combat crime and ensure justice.
Lekan Taiwo confessed that he and his accomplice, Olasunkanmi Oluwaseyi, would often engage in illicit activities with married women while burglarizing homes. They would instruct the husband to face down and threaten to harm him if he attempted to looks up. Lekan claimed they were unaware that sexually assaulting adult women was also a criminal offense. He revealed that they did not wear masks during their crimes, making it easier for their victims to identify them.
Taiwo admitted that they would sleep with married women whenever they were in the house of a couple. They would ask the husband to lie down, facing the floor, and any man who tried to raise his head would be beaten. The men had no choice other than to comply while they had their way. He noted that they did not touch female children and teenagers because they learned it was a crime, but they were unaware that the same applied to adult females. They did not cover their faces during their operations.
He remarked, “Yes, that is true, but not all of them. Also, the elderly females were usually in their 50s and 60s, not up to 70 years old. Also, we used to sleep with married women whenever we were in the house of a couple. We would ask the husband to lie down, facing the floor. Any man who tried to raise his head would be beaten.”
