Ekiti court sentences two to death

One Kazeem Olafisoye and Owolabi Usman, has been sentenced to death by hanging for conspiracy and armed robbery, and life imprisonment for attempt to murder by an Ekiti State High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

The two convicts were charged and arraigned before Justice Adekunle Adeleye on a three-count charge.

According to the charge, the convicts and one other now at large robbed one Odo Charity and her household of the sum of ₦40,000 at gun point and attempted to murder Ugwe Ebuka by macheting him at Ekute, Ado Ekiti.

The first convict was overpowered by good Samaritans in the neighbourhood whilst the other gang members ran away.
