AGN Suspends Nollywood Actress Over Junior Pope’s Death

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has taken swift action following the tragic death of actor Jnr Pope Odonwodo and four colleagues in a boat mishap.

Filmmaker Adanma Luke, producer of the ill-fated movie ‘Another Side of Life,’ has been suspended indefinitely by the AGN.

Jnr Pope and his fellow actors reportedly drowned while returning from a movie shoot on the River Niger Cable Point Asaba, Delta State.

Despite efforts to save him, Jnr Pope’s body was found, while the bodies of the others remain missing.

AGN President Emeka Rollas announced the suspension, along with other decisions including the indefinite suspension of films involving riverine areas and boat riding, a nationwide halt on movie shootings for April 11, and a ban on actors working with Adanma Luke until further notice.

As the industry mourns the loss of these talented individuals, the AGN continues its search for the missing bodies, offering condolences to the families and praying for the souls of the departed.
