The consultation ship of Ika South Local Government Chairmanship Aspirant of the People Democratic Party PDP, Pastor Kevin Osarodion Aigui on Wednesday 28th Of February 2024, sailed to Oza-Nogogo Community in Ika South Local Government Area.
The aspirant and his team docked their ship at the palace of the Ogisi of Oza-Nogogo, Pa Etiosa Okor to pay a courtesy visit ahead of the Local Government Council Polls set to hold in Delta state.
Speaking at the ceremony, Aigui said his mission and resolve for the journey to become the council chairman, is to make MORE DEVELOPMENT visible and felt in Ika South Local Government Area.
He said: “It is good to be here today, for weeks we have gone round, consulting and am happy for the warm reception I and my team have received from you my people and this I will not take for granted, thank you.
“I strongly believed the Almighty God knew before now that we shall all gather together today in this Palace to chart a course that will birth MORE DEVELOPMENT in Ika South and Beyond.
“Nothing beats DEVELOPMENT because it cut across every sphere of human existence and we can’t say, we were born this way. We at one point or the other develop through growth which has brought us to the level we are now and this happened through the passage of time.
“Today, I am proud to say I have been able to come out with a DEVELOPMENT plan that will bring about a better life to all regardless age, gender and social class.
“I know people will say you are not there yet, but I can tell you, I know where we are going,”.
“The undeniable and unchallengeable fundamental reason for picking this ticket is to rescue Ika South.
“And it goes logically without saying that you can only rescue that which is in trouble and Ika South is in trouble and I cannot afford not to be part of the movement to rescue it.
“I believe in the greatness of Ika South. I believe there will be peace and prosperity, and I believe Ika South will come out strong, better and well developed
“This is our right to secure, unite and make Ika South productive. And you can’t do that without having people who love you and are craving to see their life take a new turn, I am ready as God stregthens me and prepared to take up this task. So, it is indeed an honour having my humble self in your midst.” He concluded.
The Ogisi and his counsel of elders and Youths, who expressed happiness and confidence, on Pst Kevin Aigui, said that they have no doubt regarding his competence, accountability, transparency and good services.
The elders, noted that they are sure that Ika South Local Government area will experience the reborn of democracy under him.
In his own remark, the Ogisi of Oza-Nogogo, Pa Etiosa Okor, who couldn’t hide his excitement, said some words of blessing over the Local Government Chairmanship Aspirant, Pastor Kevin Osarodion Aigui, wishing him well in his politiacal endeavours.
Speaking further, the community head, harped on the memories of late Mr. Meshach M. Aigui, Pst Kevin Osarodion Aigui’s father who was known for his outstanding character, self-discipline, prudence and dedication to the things of God and his immense contribution to education in the community.
